What happens if you become too ill to work?
You may be injured in a car accident? Perhaps your injuries are so extensive that you may never be able to work again.
Terrible thoughts, we know, but the chances of you not being able to bring home an income for some period in your life due to accident, illness and injury are pretty strong. Don’t believe that if you are an employee at a big company, that you will be looked after.
This is mostly not the case. You should have a thorough understanding of exactly what income you would be entitled to from your employer. Also what benefits you have from your group disability scheme or provident fund scheme if you are lucky enough to enjoy such benefits.
